I filled out the appointment request on line and received a call from Charlie Ring on Sunday to schedule a time to inspect the roof. Even though I had to leave the country again, Charlie came out and inspected the roof, tarped it and was even on hand when the insurance company came for the their inspection. He helped me deal with all the paper work long distance and when I got back in the country I had a new roof and no extra damage inside the house. Comments: "I'm thrilled to have found Paragon Exteriors in my internet searching for a roof bid. I knew I needed a roof, but had no real experience with roofers or insurance companies. I originally called another well known local company and they sent out a "salesman". He mentioned I had a missing shingle, so I called my insurance company to see about getting them to handle the roof. That particular roof salesperson was completely unwilling to talk with the insurance on my behalf and actually said he didnt think they should pay, he saw no damage other than the missing shingle. So the search began. I have a pretty steep and complicated roof and many roofers would look at it and never call me back. Then Rob & Steve came by. I'm SO thankful for that. They said I absoluetly had damage that insurance should cover. The first adjuster denied the claim, but Steve and Rob were confident, and demanded a re-inspection with a 2nd adjuster as well as several calls to the ins company headquarters, and they got me a new roof and gutters for both my house and detached garage. I selected the 50 yr Malarkey shingles, and seemless gutters. I am completely satisified with the work that was done, it was professional, timely and they cleaned up afterwards. Comments: Everyone was courtious and communicated well. The crew was on the job faster than almost anyone else in the neighborhood which has 100's of homes damaged. No dumpsters cratcing my driveway, they backed a stake truck up and threw everything in it. When they were done the grounds were cleaned up very well. Except for the great new Timberline roof, you would not have known they were even there. Price was average to the high side of middle which was great. they worked directly with my insurance company. No complaints and I recommend Paragon to anyone.

Comments:First of all, Kyle was awesome to work with. Anyone can tell you that contractors can be a bit unpredictable at times in terms of when they show up and the "unforeseen" things that will pop up. Paragon did exactly what they promised and din't pull any tricks. The first thing that I liked was that Kyle was easy to talk to and that he gave us a fair price. Secondly, the materials actually showed up a week early and we are having a party this weekend. Of course, Kyle came through for us and re-scheduled the installation to this week instead of next to help us out. The guys came yesterday and started working (hard)and they are going to finish up this morning. All in all I am 110% satisfied with Paragon and am actually referring you guys to a neighbor down the street from me. I hate to keep bringing up Kyle but it's people like this that make a customer want to use a certain contractor. He was absolutely a pleasure to work with!! Thank you a bunchfor all you have done and I'm sure I'll blab to everyone that I know about how great your guys are!!!

Comments:I found out I needed a new roof when I had my gutters replaced. It wasn't leaking yet but the guttering guy said it needed to be replaced, so I started getting bids. I had gotten several bids when Charlie Ring from Paragon came out. He was different than the rest of the salesmen. He gave me a lot more information and he actually listened to me. The price wasn't the lowest bid I received, but it was pretty close. Charlie worked hard to find me Energy Star shingles -- they aren't very available. The roofing crew worked professionally and quickly. They did an excellent clean-up job. When Charlie found that I had a cracked beam he called me at work to keep me informed, took lots of pictures so that I could see what he was talking about, and took care of all the details. I couldn't ask for a better experience.

The first half-day was complete tear off and prep for new roof which was completed on full second day. The clean-up was very good and they hauled debris away...also cleaned gutters out. I was very happy they could squeeze this work in before first snowfall.

Overall the company was like a breath of fresh air. We do not know anything about this type of work or how much it would cost. We called a few companies who are local including Paragon. The prices were from one end of the spectrum to the other and most of them were friendly. But we chose paragon because of the knowledge the estimator had and the overall quality he promised. They were not the most expensive but were within a few bucks of the lower bids. We are completely happy with the job they had performed and in a timely fashion that job was done in. They also checked back with me after the job was completed to make sure we did not have any questions or issues we needed to discuss.

Comments:Paragon removed my old wood shake roof & put on new plywood & installed a Timberline Elk 30yr. This was a tough job because not only is my roof very steep, but it had 2 layers of wood shingles to be removed. They installed new drip edging & all new flashings, vents, including new flashing on my chimney. They cleaned up & hauled off all the debris. This was a complete roofing job. After receiving a notice from my insurance company that explained to me that if I did not replace my old wood shake roof, they (insurance co) said they could no longer insure me. So I began shopping for a good reputable roofing contractor when a co-worker told me that he replaced his roof a couple months ago & recommended that I contact Paragon Roofing. So, I did. A rep came out to my home 2 days after I had called them & spent a considerable amount of time answering my seemingly endless variety of questions. His patience with me was astounding. When he left I felt as if I knew everything there was to know about my roof, which gave me more confidence moving forward. In short, I was very impressed with their knowledge & professionalism. I contracted with Paragon to get my roof done. Due to a backlog of customers I was put on a short list to have my roof completed. Seven days after I contracted, Paragon called me & scheduled the crew to do the installation on a specific date & time. Crew was on time & proceeded to work on my roof. I was very impressed with all the precautions taken by the crew to protect all of my wife's bushes & my newly installed gutter system. The job took 2 days for the crew to complete & at the end of the 1st day I was amazed of how well they cleaned up the job site before they left. My roof looks awesome. These guys have to be within the top 5 best contractors in the city. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

Comments:Paragon was very professional in all aspects. Charlie Ring was always available to answer questions and provide advice and samples of roofing materials. He was happy to stop by our home at any time of the day and was typically available to visit with us despite the fact he lives and works from the Kansas City area (a two hour commute). The work done on our roof was high quality and completed quickly. The roofing crew did a good job of keeping our yard clean and free of debris which is difficult when removing shake shingles from a steep roof. The roofing crew was pleasant and friendly. There was a miscommunication with the guttering contractor and when called, Charlie had the contractor complete the work that DAY! We also had an unnecessary delay (2 months) by the mortgage company who had to sign off on the insurance check. During the entire delay, the entire staff at Paragon Roofing was very pleasant, understanding and patient. The entire experience was very positive and I will not hesitate to recommend Paragon or use them again if and when needed.

Comments:Paragon installed a DaVinci Synthetic Slate Roofscape on approx. 4900 sq. ft. of roofing. They removed a prior wood shake roof, re-decked with solar board, 2 layers 30 felt, stainless steel nails, new neoprene pipe flashings, GAF Weather Watch valleys, and 12 new air vents. The 50 year warranted roof is the 'European' color blend, set with a staggered coursing for a natural appearance. They also installed cooper snow guards above the porch area.

After researching various synthetic slate roofing systems for several months, I selected DaVinci. Craig Kruger of DaVinci returned my phone call and followed-up several times, even while on vacation. DaVinci provided ample information, samples, scientific research, an extensive list of Kansas City references, as well as, a contractor search on their web site. After talking to 11 roofing contractors, I asked for, and received, five proposals to replace our roof. Charlie Ring of Paragon was the most proactive and responsive representative of all the roofing and remodeling companies. Weather and insurance agents delayed the decision. Charlie Ring and Steven Glaze sat down with us personally and detailed every aspect of the project. Their estimate for the project was the same as several other estimates; however, their specifications included a few 'extras' such as solar board for the decking and two layers of felt, rather than just one layer, and paying particular attention to protecting our unique landscaping. Charlie stayed in touch with us throughout the decision making process. He offered additional information or assistance, but no pressure. During the actual roof replacement, the professional roofing team from Paragon went beyond our expectations. The roofers kept professional hours, they were mindful of our neighbor's yards, parking, trash, noise (no music), attention to every detail of the roof, which is complicated due to approx. 5 gables. The roofing personnel even placed plywood sheets under their trucks to prevent oil leaks on the street! Again, the project experienced delays due to weather. Charlie & his team were patient and communicated with us thoroughly regarding their schedule and progress. The end result is amazing. It is beyond our expectations; and Paragon's attention to detail contributed significantly to the outcome. Even after the roof was completed, Charlie Ring did not abandon us. He spent weeks researching and communicating with us until he found the correct snow guards and the correct installation for this type roof. He is an amazing professional; hard-working and genuine. Without hesitation I will use this contractor again, and will recommend their services.

Comments:Steve came out to the house to give me a estimate on my leaky garage roof. He showed me where I had problems and explained that the problem could be more serious but he would not know until they got the old shingles off. We agreed to a price for re-decking and re- shingling the garage roof ($1,800) and agreed that I would replace any rafters if necessary. His crew showed up promptly when they supposed to and got to work. When they tore off the old roof and decking, they showed me that 7 rafters were also shot. Although I said that I would replace the rafters, I did not want to hold up his crew and asked him to go ahead and do the framing and to replace part of the fascia. Steve only charged me an extra $200.00 for the framing + cost of materials. To make a long story short, they completed all of the work in 1 day which would have taken a week to do myself.
