It took me 5 years to talk my husband into finishing our basement. When it was time to interview and get bids I got a bit nervous, because you only have one chance to get it right. Like most people, we network with friends for recommendations which is how we found Steve, the owner of Paragon Design & Remodel.

After the initial meeting he came back with a design (3-D rendering) of what our space would look like laid out the way we had discussed. It’s so hard to envision how the space will look from a simple drawing. It was amazing to get to see it in 3-D with the color scheme we had discussed. It made us feel so comfort- able and confident proceeding to the construction phase. I think my mind was made up when they emphasized that they strive to make the basement look like part of the house, not a basement. The supports, beams, duct work etc., are all concealed within the walls and ceiling so that it does not look like a basement covered with drywall. We’re so happy we chose Paragon. So much so that we contracted them to remodel our kitchen before they were even finished with the basement. It too looks great. We are so happy we found Paragon.

Bottom line...we hire someone to do a job that we cannot. We put our faith in that person to do right by us. What a pleasure to know that we were not taken advantage of in any respect and that we got quality craftsmanship every step of the way.

My husband I are very pleased with the remodel of our bathroom done by Paragon Design & Remodel. The team created a unique design for our master bath which met all of our needs perfectly. The crew always showed up on time and were neat and courteous. They were very trustworthy and I felt completely comfortable leaving them when I had to be away from home. I especially like the fact I was able to e-mail the project manager with any questions or concerns that I had. He always responded to me immediately. I obtained several bids from many of the well known contractors around town. Just days before the deadline I had set for myself to make a decision as to which contractor to go with I attended a Chiefs party at a friend’s house. Paragon had finished their basement a few weeks prior and the result was amazing. They were extremely happy with their decision and quickly convinced me to give them a call. They were so right. Steve was very professional and informative throughout the entire process. He took the time to completely understand my needs for the added space before they made any suggestions. They came up with a design and were patient during the fine tuning process to make sure I ended up with a plan that met my particular needs and budget.

Once the construction phase started I was able to trust the workers with my home while away at work and they were tidy, cleaning up every day . Steve was very hands on and spent much time on-site making sure everything was going according to plan and were constantly giving me updates. The end result was amazing with no surprises! I have had several parties since the completion and everyone raves about my basement thanks in large part to Steve's attention to detail and exceptional customer service. I would highly recommend these guys to anyone.
